Equalities at Mile Oak Primary School

Equalities Statement

At Mile Oak Primary School, our vison and values promote inclusion and equality for all pupils, staff, parents and carers. We champion the Equal Opportunities Act 2010 to ensure that there will be no discrimination against any individual or group, regardless of faith, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, political or financial status, or similar. Our school embraces the aim of working together with others to improve children’s educational and wellbeing outcomes, and notes the rights set out in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

We tackle discrimination through the positive promotion of equality, by challenging bullying and stereotypes and by creating an environment which celebrates diversity.
