Calling all children at Mile Oak Primary School. Join our poetry competition and win a prize.

The theme is WINTER.

You could create your own winter recipe or a list poem, with your favourite parts of winter.

Haikus and Cinquains are short so you need to select your words carefully to make them effective- maybe your poem could be several verses. You could go on a winters walk to give you some inspiration. Write a poem about all the sights and sounds.

We look forward to reading all your amazing entries. We will display as many as we can in school and on the Mile Oak website writing gallery. Remember to present your poem creatively and write in your neatest cursive handwriting.
